NIGERIA AT 56.

I was affectively undecided at first, but then I remembered Gaza, Syria, Pakistan and Iran. Yes, we all know most of our leaders have their heads abroad and their anus here. Yes, our drainages, schools, roads and health sector need immediate attention.  Yes, the hoipolloi craves for a meal each day, and yes, our economic status is abso-bloody-lutely nothing to write home about.

Working on the words of Mahatma Ghandi ‘the best way to find yourself is to loose yourself in the service of others’.

So I ask; *what have I done to make the Present Nigeria a Nigeria of our dreams?*

Asides complaining and ranting, majority of Nigerians find solace in raining abuses and curses which surely leads us no where.

In the face of this adversity, I am unexplainably optimistic and pragmatic. We should celebrate ourselves because regardless of our failures, our successes are still apparent. We ain’t where we used to be and surely we ain’t where we ought to be and YES we ain’t STATIC.

I believe we will BREAKTHROUGH no matter what we GO THROUGH. Even Gold went through fire to become Golden..

Let’s not just sing with our heart and might, lets serve with our heart and might. Let’s end the curses and start the Prayers because Faith is “taking the next step without even seeing the stairs”. Happy Independence day to the strongest Nation I know.
